Fingerprint biometric authentication device receives U.S. patent protection
In 2019, our research team developed a novel device for the fast and touchless capture of fingerprints. This device was an important part of Michal Dvořák's Ph.D. thesis, which focused primarily on the study of biometric characteristics associated with the human hand. Read more…

Synthetic finger veins
For one of our research projects, focused on recognizing people by the veins on their fingers, we created models of the veins. We use these synthetic models as a reference to develop algorithms to reconstruct 3D vein models and also to test the robustness of the sensors against presence attacks. We use 3D resin printing as the basis for their creation, and then modify the printed models according to the specific application. Read more…
