A team of students (Michal Vaňo, Jan Svoboda) who completed our Biometric Systems course developed a web application for fingerprint processing that combines minutiae detection and type classification to demonstrate key concepts in biometric technology. Designed as a semester project, the application processes a user-uploaded or sample fingerprint image through steps such as pre-processing, orientation field calculation, minutiae detection, type classification, and provides downloadable results.
The application was developed as a Python application for image processing and Typescript React for the web interface.
