For one of our research projects, focused on recognizing people by the veins on their fingers, we created models of the veins. We use these synthetic models as a reference to develop algorithms to reconstruct 3D vein models and also to test the robustness of the sensors against presence attacks. We use 3D resin printing as the basis for their creation, and then modify the printed models according to the specific application.
