In late May, we participated in the International Defense and Security Technologies Fair (IDET 2025), which took place from May 28 to 30 at the Brno Exhibition Center. The Faculty of Information Technology at Brno University of Technology was proud to participate in this important event once again.

As part of the joint university exhibition, two projects from the Security Technology Research and Development (STRaDe) research group were presented.

The first project was a system designed to protect air traffic from low-energy laser dazzling. This system was developed over four years in collaboration with the Czech Technical University (CTU) in Prague and the University of Defense.

The second innovation was an experimental platform for detecting distant objects that the STRaDe team will further develop this year. This technology can be used to monitor and identify aerial and ground-based targets, particularly from UAV platforms.

Throughout the three-day fair, we had many inspiring discussions with experts, the general public, and company representatives from the defense and security sectors. We were pleased by the strong interest in our solutions, which reaffirmed the importance and relevance of our research.
